Some new considerations on the Bernoulli numbers, the factorial function, and Riemann's zeta function

An outstanding problem connected with the Bernoulli numbers and their application is considered, and the context of its resolution is applied to a consequent reconsideration of the Riemann zeta function and the attendant problem of the nature of its zeros, together with some new findings on the gamma/factorial function.
