Closed natural splines: An effective solution

摘要

An algorithm for construction closed curvature-continuous splines (named as closed natural splines or CN-splines) based on cubic Bézier representation along with supporting FUZ-ZUI Theorem, which provides an effective solution for the inversion of FUZ-ZU—a special case of almost three-diagonal circulant matrix—in explicit form, is presented. Characteristics of FUZ-ZUI matrices examined; exponentially relaxing oscillations for single point disturbance of CN-spline demonstrated.
