• The distribution of eigenvalues for Seidel matrices of threshold graphs by its building string is investigated.

• The inertia of the Seidel matrix of a threshold graph can be represented by its building string.

• We show that the interval (−2,2) contains no eigenvalue of Seidel matrix of a threshold graphs, except for −1 and 1.
