摘要

This paper presents a novel method of updating, in iterative local computation, the estimated optic flow at a pixel. It involves calculating the pseudo-intersection (least-squares solution) of four motion constraint lines which in general have different amounts of weight or confidence associated with them. Two of these lines are derived from the results of inter-image matching, and two from the currently estimated motions of neighbouring pixels. The method unifies edge-motion and point-motion schemes for obtaining initial constraints on local motion. It also exhibits appropriate behaviour at flow boundaries and in fields derived from rigid motion of a rough surface.
