Recursive neighbourhood operations on the linear processor array SYMPATI-2

摘要

This paper deals with parallelism in image processing. Local neighbourhood operations and recursive neighbourhood operations are presented and illustrated with examples. Then a linear processor array is depicted and the method of parallelizing those operations is shown. Experimental results are provided, and we show that linear structures are relevant for both local and recursive neighbourhood operations.
