The semantics of induction and the possibility of complete systems of inductive inference

摘要
The semantics of inductive inference is treated from the hypothetico-deductive point of view. It is shown that, in the language of first-order predicate calculus for example, inductive inference systems can be designed with the property of relative completeness, i.e., relative to a set of sentences (the body of evidence) and to the level of deductive power available to the system.
