摘要

Discriminant boundaries generally separate two or more classes using information on the density function or on the functional form of the discriminant surface. This paper describes a method which permits finding a discriminant surface that completely encloses a predefined class of samples. Successive transformations permit reducing the problem to a linear one. The solution is computed by a Ho-Kashyap procedure, initiated by the Fisher's linear discriminant.
