Affectons: automata models of emotional interactions

摘要

We develop finite automata models of emotional interactions: an emotional automaton (affecton) takes states from a set of basic emotions––happiness, anger, confusion, anxiety and sadness, and updates its state depending on its current state and a state of its input (also a state-emotion). We define several classes of emotional automata, study dynamics of reflecting affectons and automata in random environment; we also analyze behaviour of coupled affectons using their global state transition graphs.
