Novel α-stability criterion of linear systems with multiple time delays

In this paper, the α-stability is discussed for a class of linear systems with multiple time delays. Based on the Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theory for functional differential equations and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, new sufficient condition is derived for the exponential stability with a given convergence rate. The obtained result is less conservative than those in the literature. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the superiority of our one to the previous.
