Discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the fourth-order obstacle problem

In this paper, we consider the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the fourth-order obstacle problem which is the variational inequality problem of the first kind. By defining the finite element approximation solution, we obtain the optimal error estimate.
