Synchronization and anti-synchronization for complex-valued inertial neural networks with time-varying delays

Highlights:

• Considering rich biological backgrounds of inertial term, complex valued inertial neural networks system with time varying delays expressed by second order differential equation is regarded as the study object and the anti synchronization problem for this system is investigated for the first time.

• By way of the reduced order, the addressed system is translated into an equivalent first order complex valued one. Then, the corresponding criteria in forms of tractable LMIs for the synchronization and anti synchronization control are established via constructing the appropriate Lyapunov functional.

• In order to discuss this model more uniformly, it is taken as a whole to develop theoretical results in complex domain instead of separating real imaginary parts.
