A grad-div stabilized penalty projection algorithm for fluid-fluid interaction

Highlights:

• We developed a grad-div stabilized penalty projection algorithm for atmosphere ocean interaction. Grad-div stabilization is shown to be necessary for the conservation of mass and for believable qualitative results. The method presented decouples atmosphere and ocean and their individual velocities and pressures. This way, it increases computational efficiency including CPU time.
