Database project UNIS (a UNIfied database development support system)

摘要

The main objectives of the UNIS project are specified; they are above all the computer aided development of database systems and a standardization of such a development.The four-schema architecture of a database system is specified and basic principles of the HIT data model and the HIT method are introduced.The underlying software—the TPT system—handling graphs and networks is briefly described and its explication by the UNIS project is specified.Finally the languages developed in UNIS are briefly outlined.
