In recent years there has been an upsurge informs of instruction that envisage a permanentand ongoing involvement in education of novelconcepts such as planned and personalisedinstruction and autonomous learning. A largenumber of problems that arise in educationtoday may be solved by introducing newtechnologies into the educational environment,as they allow the form and content of tutoringsystems to be tailored to each individual. Theapplication of Artificial Intelligencetechniques is helping open up new prospects inthe field of teaching and learning. UsingArtificial Intelligence techniques in educationhas the advantage of making it possible torepresent expert reasoning and knowledgeskills, and to take advantage of thisexperience in education.
