摘要

This study utilizes the dynamic product–process change matrix as a lens/map for helping managers to link the selection criteria with the requirements of operations strategies for facility location selection (FLS). FLS problem is a decision-making problem at the strategic management level and a semi-structured process in supply chain management. The majority of the existing approaches obtained their optimal solutions without considering their fits with the strategy of the firm and ignoring the essences of the managers’ job. This study then presents an empirical fuzzy approach containing a risk judgmental procedure to the specific decision environment and his/her own inherent management authorities under group decision-making processes. An empirical case study derived from the management consultation client of authors is performed to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed system and to identify the best facility location(s). The results and processes of the case study also provide interesting managerial implications.
