摘要

This article reports the survey results from graduate MBA students who developed knowledge-based systems (KBS) in a business policy capstone course. The preliminary findings show that almost the entire response group felt that the KBS development project helped them to better understand decision making in their chosen KBS area. Approximately half felt thair general decision-making skills had been improved by the project and more than a quarter of the students actually used KBS in their work. Almost one-fourth credited the project with getting them a new job or promotion. The conclusions of this study discuss the benefits of using a KBS development exercise as an instructional device in MBA programs and have implications for curriculum researchers and MBA business course developers.
