Llama 3 8B Instruct is the instruction-tuned version of Meta's Llama 3 8B, released on April 18, 2024. Fine-tuned with SFT, rejection sampling, PPO and DPO, it outperformed Llama 2 70B Chat on many benchmarks and became one of the most downloaded open models, under the Meta Llama 3 Community License.
