A preprocessing method for the contrast enhancement of tv-scanned electron microscopic images

Preprocessing TV-scanned images in transmission electron microscopy improves the results of subsequent digital contrast enhancement. The method takes into account noise, system artifacts and the image forming modes of darkfield and brightfield.
