Hermite-type interpolation of squared-magnitude functions

摘要
Hermite's interpolation formula is modified to yield a nonnegative even polynomial of minimum degree such that it and its derivative take on prescribed values at some points. It is also shown how to update recursively the interpolating polynomial whenever additional points are provided.
