摘要

The von Mises coordinates are employed in the numerical study of viscous fluid flow through porous domains possessing curved, solid boundaries along which a no-slip condition is imposed. A numerical procedure is proposed to account for the infinite Jacobian of the transformation, which arises due to this no-slip condition. To illustrate this idea, two dimensional viscous fluid flow through a porous channel bounded by a lower and an upper curved, solid wall is considered. The effects of the grid size and the horizontal extent of the computational domain are illustrated.
