The nonlinear cooling of a semi-infinite solid—implicit Runge-Kutta (IRK) methods

We numerically solve a non-linear Volterra integral equation of the second kind with a weakly singular kernel, which arises in the cooling of a semi-infinite solid, by a simple IRK method. This method does not require short time steps to produce accurate approximations.
