Thermal stress in a transversely isotropic circular cylinder due to an instantaneous heat source

摘要

The thermal stress problem for a transversely isotropic, infinite circular region has been investigated by using the Laplace transform and Lagrange's method for variation of parameters. A solution for the stresses, the displacement, and the temperature has been described. Also numerical calculations were carried out for the stresses and the temperature.
