On properties of periodically monotone sequences

In this paper we introduce the periodically monotone sequences. Then we investigate the properties of a class of periodically monotone sequences inR. These sequences arise, for example, in counting as the integers are distributed on intervals of the form [(k - 1)T, kT] wherek εN andT εR+.
