On the solution of a partial differential equation arising in Stokes flow

The partial differential equation E4 ψ = 0 that arises in the theory of fluids associated with axisymmetric Stokes flow in a torus will be investigated in toroidal coordinates. The solution ψ, which represents the stream function, will be shown to depend on Legendre, trigonometric, and hyperbolic functions.
