Propagation of Rayleigh waves in an elastic half-space of orthotropic material

摘要

The aim of the present paper is to investigate generation of waves in an orthotropic elastic solid medium under the influence of initial stress P and gravity field g. The frequency equation has been obtained. When the gravity field vanishes, the medium is isotropic and initially unstressed, the frequency equation is also obtained. Numerical results analyzing the frequency equation are also presented.
