Finite element Galerkin solutions for the nonplanar oscillatory beam equations

Existence and asymptotic behavior are studied for the solution of the nonplanar oscillatory beam equations under planar external force. Stability and error estimates are also obtained for the semidiscrete scheme and a fully discrete time Galerkin method.
