Performance optimization of binary weighted current-steering D/A converters

摘要

Performance of current-steering digital-to-analog converters (DACs) is degraded by finite output conductance of their current sources. Based on a simple model of a binary weighted DAC we present optimal weight adjustments that minimize the absolute accuracy error (AAE). An efficient optimization algorithm is presented.
