Analytic treatment for variable coefficient fourth-order parabolic partial differential equations

摘要

The variable coefficient fourth-order parabolic partial differential equation in one space variable that arise in the study of the transverse vibrations of a uniform flexible beam is examined. The analytic solution is obtained by using Adomian decomposition method. The nonhomogeneous problem is solved by using the noise terms phenomenon. The method is tested on three problems which have appeared in physical applications.
