Mixed finite element and boundary element approximation in 3D magnetostatics for computation of the magnetic induction

We describe a mixed method for the computation of the magnetic induction in three-dimensional magnetostatics. This method uses mixed finite elements in association with boundary elements. We present numerical results and make a comparison between these results and those obtained from a classical method with magnetic scalar potential. We conclude that our method leads to better numerical accuracy.
