On the periodic solutions for an nth-order difference equations

We shall study the existence of periodic solutions for an nth-order difference equation xn+1=F(xn,xn−1,…,xn−k) and find the necessary and sufficient conditions which make all solutions of this equation periodic. We shall use a new technique to study the periodic solutions and apply it to the rational difference equation.
