The best approximation of matrices under inequality constraints

摘要

In this paper, a class of best approximation problems of matrices under inequality constraints are firstly presented and studied. For real matrices, symmetric matrices and antisymmetric matrices respectively, we have given the conditions for the existence of solutions and expressions of general solutions. Furthermore, the best approximation solutions and algorithms of them are provided.
