Rank equalities and inequalities for Kronecker products of matrices with applications

Some rank equalities and inequalities are established for Kronecker products of matrices. As applications, upper and lower bounds are presented for the dimensions of the ranges of the two well-known linear transformations T1(X)=X−AXB and T2(X)=AX−XB.
