State space formulation for magnetohydrodynamic free convection flow with two relaxation times

We introduced a magnetohydrodynamic model of boundary-layer equations for conducting viscous fluids. This model is applied to study the effects of free convection currents with two relaxation times on the flow of a viscous conducting fluid. The state space approach developed in Bahar and Hetnarski [J. Thermal Stresses. 1 (1978) 135–146] is adopted for the solution of one-dimensional transient problems. The resulting formulation is applied to a semispace problem with a plane distribution of heat sources located inside the fluid and it is also applied to a problem for the whole space with plane distribution of heat sources. Numerical results are illustrated graphically for the problems considered.
