A heuristic approach for constructing symmetric Gray codes

Interest in the symmetric Gray (SG) code is high because of its importance in the design and testing of many types of electrical circuits and information systems. The conventional methods for constructing such a code are complicated. A heuristic approach is described in this paper. Examples of constructing the SG code of order 5, 6, and 7 are included.
