The sine–cosine method for obtaining solutions with compact and noncompact structures

In this paper we establish compact and noncompact solutions for nonlinear dispersive equations. A sine–cosine method is used to demonstrate this work. The different physical structures of the focusing branch and the defocusing branch are emphasized. Many models are approached to illustrate the usage of our main results.
