The effects of the terrestrial infrared radiation pressure on the earth's artificial satellite dynamics

摘要

The changes of the orbital motion of an Earth artificial satellite caused by the terrestrial infrared radiation pressure are studied. The infrared radiation is described as a series of spherical harmonics. Terms are retained up to second order. The expressions for the disturbing force components are obtained. The changes of all orbital elements are given together with numerical examples. The comparison of the computed magnitudes of the disturbing force with observed data shows good agreement.
