On convergence of the symmetric modified successive overrelaxation method for 2-cyclic coefficient matrices

In this paper, we study the convergence of the symmetric modified successive overrelaxation (SMSOR) iterative method for real symmetric 2-cyclic and consistently ordered coefficient matrices. We proposed some theorems, which they obtain results better than similar works. By some numerical examples we show the goodness of our results.
