Note on numerical solution of the Fredholm singular integro-differential equation with Cauchy kernel by using Taylor-series expansion and Galerkin method

We study the paper of Maleknejad and Arzhang (2006) with Taylor-series expansion and Galerkin method for Fredholm singular integro-differential equation with Cauchy kernel. We point out a basic error in the paper. Due to the basic error, our observations reveal that generally the suggested method should not be considered for a Fredholm singular integro-differential equation with Cauchy kernel.
