Automatic evaluation of derivatives

摘要

A method is presented for automatically computing the exact value of the gradient of equations of many variables. The derivatives of complicated expressions can be calculated using much less than 64 kb of memory and only a small amount of computer time. The general method is described, and an implementation in fortran code is presented.
