Cartoon and texture decomposition for color image in opponent color space

• We propose a model of cartoon and texture decomposition in the opponent color space.

• Perception of color is usually better represented in opponent color space than the RGB space.

• We generalize the L1 norm and L∞ norm for the vector-valued vector.

• We introduce the TV norm and G-norm in the opponent color space and the primal-dual method is applied to find the solution.

• Numerical results are shown the performance of the proposed model.
