Pattern formation of a spatial vegetation system with root hydrotropism

作者:

Highlights:

• We systematically presented a study on the influences of root hydrotropism and nonlocal delay on the vegetation patterns.

• We give the global weak solution of the model, and find the conditions for the occurrence of vegetation pattern.

• The results show that there is a threshold of root hydrotropism intensity, within which an appropriate intensity can increase the vegetation density.

• When the root hydrotropism intensity exceeds the threshold, there will be no vegetation pattern and desertification in this area.
