• On the Jeffrey fluid model, chemically reactive mass transport mechanisms in the presence of extrinsic magnetic impact have been investigated.

• Lie group transformations are used to formulate the mathematical modeling of momentum and concentration equations.

• A robust numerical technique known as successive linearization approach (SLM) is used to solve the nonlinear coupled formulated equations.

• This technique provides more efficient results compared with other similar methods.

• A numerical comparison is also made between the proposed technique and Bvp4c (built-in command in Matlab).
