• a new quaternion sign function is based on real and complex numbers is presented. At the same time, several new lemmas are introduced by computationally proving to study the FTS of FOQVNNs.

• A corresponding controller with a quaternion sign function is designed based on the lemmas obtained above.

• By constructing the Lyapunov function and using some inequality skills under the case of algebraic and matrix inequalities, some synchronization criteria are obtained.
