Boundary element simulation of the cathodic protection system in a prototype ship

摘要

The paper deals with the computer simulation of the cathodic protection systems used for corrosion prevention. The boundary element method is employed to discretize the governing mathematical model. This model consists of the exterior potential problem subject to nonlinear boundary conditions. The above methodology is then applied to a prototype ship, and the potential measurements are compared with the results of computer simulation.
