Stochastic approach to the cauchy system for the scattering function with hybrid reflector

Assuming that the radiative transfer in a turbid slab bounded below by a hybrid reflector is the Markovian stochastic process and starting with the modified Chapman-Kolmogorov equation, for an uniform unidirectional illumination we have the Riccati nonlinear integrodifferential equation governing the angular distribution of the radiation emergent from the slab. Without solving the transfer equation, the two-point boundary-value problem is reduced to an initial-value problem, of which numerical simulation is readily performed with the aid of an high-speed digital computer.
