Syntactic and semantic postprocessing for speech recognition

In this paper we present part of a system, which is devised to direct systems controlling non-safety-sensitive functions of car, a voice-mailbox system and an integrated office environment by speech. The post-processing, which is discussed here, is based on methods from the area of Artificial Intelligence. The input is checked for its linguistic properties in order to determine the intended meaning of an utterance and to direct the execution of the resulting action.
