Understanding and validating results in model-based decision support systems

摘要

This paper focuses on the issue of how to construct a software environment for modelling systems that enhances the usefulness of models as problem solving aids. The limitations of currently available modelling systems are explored and current approaches to overcoming these limitations are reviewed. A framework for the user-model interface of a model-based DSS is proposed that incorporates a range of powerful capabilities for aiding a user in interpreting, understanding, and validating model results.
