A comprehensive method for the evaluation of complete intelligent tutoring systems

Although it is generally believed that intelligent tutoring systems promise a great potential for education, little work has been done on the development of an appropriate evaluation method to assess these systems. This paper proposes an evaluation approach that serves to deliver comprehensive suggestions for the overall improvement of both the architecture and the behaviour of a complete intelligent tutoring system.
