SMS: a suggestive modelling system for object recognition

摘要

This paper defines an object representation system motivated by object recognition instead of object depiction, representing the strongly visible features and relationships of non-polyhedral man-made objects. The representation system integrates variably sized or placed curve, surface and volumetric structural descriptions in a subcomponent hierarchy. Generic, alternative (e.g. refinement) and viewer-dependent descriptions are also represented.
