Predicting multiple feature locations for a class of dynamic image sequences

A major problem in motion analysis is the tracking of features when they are occluded by other objects within the scene, or when noise in the image causes poor detection rates. A new method is presented whereby several missing points on many feature trajectories may be predicted given a long image sequence. This is achieved using a smoothness of motion criterion.
